Holidays (Part 1)

It's labelled part 1 in case of a part 2 :D

It's finally holidays again, a period where I start rotting again. Because it's the holidays, my sleeping times have been adjusted to whenever-I-feel-like-sleeping. It can go from 0400 to 1400 hours, or even 0600 to 1500 hours. It's amazing how adaptable the human body is.

And, holidays is the only time when I can stay awake in the morning and sleep through the afternoon. Because of this, I can enjoy the early morning scenery I wouldn't have normally seen. However, today's morning wasn't that good. Either I need new glasses or the PSI for today is a little bad (but acceptable on the scale), and I'm sure it's the latter.

As usual, I like to see small kids going to school - it reminds me of the good olden days. I realized something about school kids these days after observing them.

1) They look like turtles. Yes, turtles. Their bags are filled with so much books. With the ever changing and increasing workload, one day they'll be bring luggages to school. The bags are so heavy, they put so much strain on them. You could see the bag sagging as if there was a bomb in it. Gravity ain't helping them either. Guess it's time we move to next-gen education where students do more learning through the use of a computer. It's pretty common over the horizon, but uncommon here (in primary schools). Singapore needs to move from the medieval ages.

2) They are lazy, real lazy. They drag their feet while walking. Are those legs so heavy that you can't even lift them up properly to walk? Who knows, next time they'll be sitting in wheelchairs instead of walking because they're plain lazy.

- I could say the same for myself; lazy to even blog.

3) Snails. They walk so fast, I can fall asleep looking at them. I'm pretty sure those walking zombies haven't been sleeping well. Their load (weight of their bags), isn't helping but making it worse.

"With the rising cases of adult back pain worldwide it's no surprise that young children can experience back pain as well. Overloaded backpacks can cause back problems for children as young as elementary school age."   - Now I know the reason behind my backaches.
